You’re not locked in
You don’t get handed a codebase you never asked for — that is the point of having someone run it. But the day you want it, it’s yours.

Questions people actually ask
Why not just use one of the AI website builders?
You can, and if you enjoy that kind of thing you should. They ask you to sit down, describe what you want, judge the result and fix it when it’s wrong — and then still solve the domain, the email and the hosting. Most business owners don’t want to make a website. They want to have one. Forge shows you a finished site for your business first, so the decision is yes or no instead of a blank page.
Do I own the website?
Your content, your images and your domain are yours from day one. The application code is mine while I run the site for you — looking after it is what you’re paying for, and there’s no repository you’re expected to manage. If you ever want to leave, you get the code free of charge and any developer can host it from there.
What if I want to stop?
Cancel whenever you like; the site runs through the period you’ve paid for. Ask and you get the source code, the database and your domain, at no charge. There is no exit fee.
What if I need something more advanced later?
Then I stop being a service and become your developer. Booking systems, payments, integrations, or more traffic than a small site should carry — I take over the same codebase as a contractor and keep building. You don’t start over.
Do I need to know anything about computers?
No. Describe your business in plain words — in Swedish if you prefer — and you get a finished site to look at. Hosting, HTTPS, backups and the domain are handled for you.
Who checks the site before it goes live?
I do. Every first site is reviewed by me personally before it’s published — that’s the part I won’t automate.
